I really want to paint these beige walls. God... even just saying that makes me angry. Beige walls.

And congrats to Cate [cateparker@ymail.com] for winning the La Dama & Lonely Hearts bodysuit giveaway!
Someone from La Dama should be contacting you shortly... yay!

    Isador dress

I attended a black tie event a few days ago and wanted to share with you the LBD dress I wore. The style of this lace dress has classic, bold shoulders mixed in with playful, tiered layers!

    I want to smell different.

I like this Comme des Garçons x Undercover fragrance called Holygrace. Or maybe I just like the bottle.

The view from my temporary living room work space.

Today, I received a letter from the Vice President and Publisher of my Book Group letting me know that she is looking forward to this future project. It seems like something I should frame, but I'm not sure. I can't afford too many frames right now.

It's been hard to focus lately. A boy called me this afternoon. He's kind of strange - he reminds me of Toru from Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood. The type of person who wouldn't know what to do if you cry, but maybe he will bring you lip balm. And you shouldn't miss this type of person's company, but you do.

I'm kind of fascinated by boys... almost like a science project... I want to know how they work and why they do the things they do. I look at everything like a potential chapter for the book. Even though, when I think about it, every boy I meet is kind of the same.

Artist Spotlight

One of my kind readers, Rachel sent me these amazing sketches. As an art enthusiast, I love coming across such special creativity and talent!

My good friend Tim and I are starting an exciting collaborative project for this blog. It's going to be fun... and I hardly ever use that word. Tim and I share a mutual appreciation for unfiltered wine, 90's Kate Moss, fish burritos, what's on Hulu, and girls who wear men's shoes. Admittedly, I don't watch every YouTube video he sends me. But he's ok with that.

    Remember Helmut Lang 2004?

I'm currently in a phase where I like to "like" the things I did 5+ years ago. Helmut Lang was such an influential part of my life. I'm not very nostalgic for the nineties since I'm like... angsty ALL the time. However, Helmut Lang Spring 2004 was genius. I could just put up pictures from the collection. But... really... in 2010... it's nothing groundbreaking. Sometimes, it really is about TIME and PLACE. And nothing can recreate that feeling of discovery.

I've also been contemplating moving to Tokyo for a few months. It's something I've been thinking about for awhile now. More on that later.

Personally, I don't find Rod Stewart sexy. But I've been told by some that he is.

I'M BACK!!!

I've finally moved into my new condo. In the last 4 months, I've had to move four times. THIS, of course, is most inconvenient to blogging. But I've worked out an arrangement with one of my good friends, which means more outfit posts (and prettier ones than this) to come.

I live in this shirt on lazy days. I tried on these shoes back in December @Aloha Rag in Hawaii, but decided to buy my ex-boyfriend a cardigan instead. Well... that was an excellent investment. I'm so happy that these Margielas popped up again on Yoox.

BTW if you haven't added my tumblr, you should. All I do is bitch and post random stuff. And I know that's what you guys like... kidding.

I bought this dress a year ago and it's been hiding in my closet until now. I never wore it because I thought the distinctive checkered pattern reminded me too much of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! But after seeing Christopher Kane's Spring 2010 collection, it completely changed my perspective on gingham and inspired me to give this dress a try!

French connection trench, Kors dress, cuff (int'l market), YSL pumps.

Today was perfect weather for me to wear this liquid green Kors dress and light, nude-tone trench from French Connection. The strong shoulders and sleek military style makes this trench a wardrobe classic for all seasons!

Have a fun and safe 4th everyone!!

I want his hair.

Swedish Midsummer Party

I love Sophia and her strange contortionist ways.

My Swedish friends at bloglovin and the gorgeous Carolina hosted a midsummer party for all of us. It was so much fun... maybe I shouldn't have drank all that traditional Swedish alcohol... more people in San Francisco need to own backyards...
